Don Macrino, Head of School

Saint Bernard School has maintained a prominent place in educational circles in eastern Connecticut for over sixty years.

It has held fast to a classical education that provides a strong foundation for its students while seeking a progressive path that incorporates new research and best practices in education.

A comprehensive education for our young men and women is our mission, and we believe there is nothing more important. Each generation faces challenges. Your sons and daughters are entering a world fraught with challenges and a world that is more dynamic than ever.  They must develop the intellectual capability and the moral foundation that will enable them to successfully navigate the years ahead.

It is our promise, that in partnership with you, our graduates will enter adulthood well prepared to make the world a better place.

Our Mission

Saint Bernard School is a Roman Catholic co-educational college preparatory school for grades 6 through 12.

Co-sponsored by the Diocese of Norwich and the Xaverian Brothers, Saint Bernard welcomes students of all faith backgrounds who value academic excellence, personal and spiritual growth, and a commitment to community.

Scholarship, Spirit, and Community are fundamental shared values at Saint Bernard. They help to define our approach to education and our institutional vision. The Saint Bernard School curriculum focuses on college preparation and is fortified by religious studies, providing a values system consistent with the Gospels.

Our Campus

Located on a 43-acre campus in Uncasville, Connecticut, Saint Bernard School enrolls students from New London, Middlesex, and Windham counties, as well as southern Rhode Island.
