Affording Saint Bernard
Saint Bernard School is an investment in your child's future. We understand that choosing an independent school requires significant financial planning and considerable sacrifices for many families. Our goal is to make planning for these expenses as easy as possible.
Tuition 2024-25
Tuition for the 2024-25 academic year is $14,700 for grades 9-12 and $9,400 for grades 6-8.
Every effort is made to minimize tuition increases to keep a Saint Bernard education affordable for families. Families have the opportunity to select their Tuition Payment plan through their FACTS account.
Tuition does not include the cost of uniforms, textbooks, Chromebooks or other fees, including:
New Student Registration Fee: $600 one-time, non-refundable fee
Technology Fee: $150 annually
Graduation Fee: $100 for graduating seniors (one-time fee)

Payment Options
SBS offers several payment options in order to help families plan for their tuition expenses. Although tuition is due on September 1, families may select their tuition payment plan through their FACTS account. Families who pay the entire tuition by June 1 will receive a 10 percent discount.
Financial Aid
Families that are concerned about affording tuition for their child's education should apply for assistance by submitting a FACTS Grant and Aid application. The Financial Aid Office and committee will review the financial aid application and will provide each family with a financial package.
The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Program evaluates a family’s ability to contribute toward their child’s education. With the help of FACTS, Saint Bernard School balances individual family need, the number of families applying, and the total amount of available aid to make the fairest decisions possible.
How To Apply for Financial Aid
To be considered for financial aid, families must complete the online FACTS Grant & Aid Application.
Families may apply online for financial aid beginning January 1. The deadline to apply for financial aid is June 1.
The FACTS helpline is 866-441-4637. Families are required to submit signed copies of their most recent Federal Income Tax Return and all Schedules, along with copies of the most recent W2 and/or 1099 forms.
Tuition assistance is not renewed automatically. Enrolled students who receive tuition assistance must reapply each year. Questions concerning tuition assistance should be directed to the Finance Office at 860-848-1271, extension 132.
