Apply
We consider each applicant as a whole person, and put enormous care into evaluating every application. We hope you will explore the information in this section to understand what we look for in our admissions process.
What We Look For

We seek students of promise who will contribute to the Saint Bernard community and to society throughout their lives.
In addition to academic accomplishment, we consider many other factors including: strong personal qualities, special talents, excellence of all kinds, and the willingness to take advantage of available resources and opportunities.
How to Apply
Complete and submit your Online Application and the following materials:
- Application Fee: $40
- Personal Essay
- Transcript/Grade Records (print and sign the Transcript Release Form and submit to your current school)
- Three Recommendations (English teacher, principal and math teacher)
Take the Placement Test: Applicants applying to grades 6 through 9 are required to take the Saint Bernard Placement Test. For the 2022/2023 school year, placement testing will be offered on select Saturday mornings. All testing begins promptly at 8:30 AM. Advanced registration is required.
Once you have been admitted to Saint Bernard School and completed your Intent to Enroll form, you will be contacted to arrange a meeting to review your placement test results. These results will determine your classes for coming year.
Select students identified through the results of their initial placement testing and/or transcript records will be contacted in late spring to take a supplemental placement test. These tests are intended as part of the information to be used by the Office of School Counseling for placing students into the most appropriate course sequence in foreign language or mathematics.
