Congratulations to Ellie Frechette, a seventh-grader, as well as members of the school Diversity Committee, who each have been recognized as the March Students of the Month at Saint Bernard School.

Every month throughout the school year, the Student of the Month Committee selects students who exemplify the XBSS values of trust, humility, simplicity, zeal, and/or compassion.

The honorees

Ellie, 12, of Oakdale enjoys horseback riding and lacrosse, and participates in CCD at her church.
Her teachers say Ellie is thoughtful, kind and helpful to her classmates. They describe Ellie as compassionate, hardworking and “an ideal example of what it means to be a Saint.

This month, the high school award was presented collectively to each of the students who presented at the school’s diversity day meeting in the auditorium - Kristine Xu, Kayla Mateo, Haseeb Qureshi, Taina Quinones, Crystaliz Sanchez, and Taryn Bellinger. Also recognized were Frank Pacheco, Ryan Proulx, Chris Gonzalez, Cindy Chen, Samantha Salas and Sasha Regalado.

“Their service to St. Bernard’s requires commitment and great courage,” said Headmaster Don Macrino.
